PCASL Score Entry — Quick Guide

Updating game scores & standings on the website. Takes about 2 minutes a week.

Everything is done in one Google Sheet. You type the scores — the website updates the schedule and the standings by itself. You never log into WordPress and never touch any code.

Each week, after games are played

  1. Open the Google Sheet from your bookmark.
  2. Find the game (rows are in date order). Type each team’s final score in the Away Score and Home Score columns.
  3. That’s it — the sheet saves on its own. The website updates within a few minutes. ✅
That’s the whole job. If you can fill in two numbers in a spreadsheet, you can run the standings. The website figures out wins, losses, and the standings order automatically.
Rained out?

If a game was postponed / not played, leave both score boxes empty and type this in the Note column:

Postponed – field conditions

Extra note?

Use the Note column for anything special, e.g. extra innings or Makeup game. It shows in small red text next to that game.

Adding a brand-new game (rare)

Add a new row and fill in these columns (copy an existing row to get the format right):

Date as 2026-08-05  ·  Division = Wed, Thu, or Sun  ·  Time like 5:45pm  ·  Away and Home team names. Leave Playoff as FALSE.

Please DON’T

  • Don’t rename or delete the column headers (the top row).
  • Don’t change the date format — keep it like 2026-06-14.
  • Don’t retype team names differently (spelling must match exactly, e.g. Dirty Martinis).

If something looks wrong on the site, don’t worry — nothing you type can break it. Just tell Doogs.

Not updating on the site? Give it ~5 minutes and refresh. Still off? Text/email Doogs — there’s a one-click “refresh” on the website side.
